Hurricane Gabrielle has intensified to a Category 1 hurricane and is projected to become a major hurricane in the central Atlantic, the National Hurricane Center reported Sunday evening.

The hurricane center is also tracking two other systems in Gabrielle’s wake with medium to low chances of formation over the next week.

Hurricane Gabrielle has maximum sustained winds of 75 mph and was located approximately 320 miles southeast of Bermuda, moving north-northwest at 10 mph.

The National Hurricane Center forecasts Gabrielle could become a major hurricane early this week, with winds potentially reaching 110 mph by Monday evening.
