MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects accused of shooting a 14-year-old boy at a gas station early Friday morning.

Police say two unknown male suspects carrying one AR-style gun approached the teenage victim outside the Exxon gas station at 4138 Kirby Parkway and exchanged words before firing a single shot in his direction at point-blank range.

The victim also appeared to be carrying an AR-style weapon when he was shot, according to the newly-released security video.

Officers responded to the scene at 2:56 a.m. The victim was rushed to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound to his stomach.
