PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco City Council is expected to approve a significant contract for improvements at GESA Stadium.

During the council's scheduled special meeting on September 22, the council will name G2 Commercial Construction, Inc. as the lowest bidder for the construction of pitching and hitting tunnels, part of the MLB-required upgrades, according to the council's agenda report .

The contract, valued at $806,949, will fund the expansion and enclosure of batting cages, among other improvements. These enhancements are part of a larger effort to maintain compliance with MLB standards and ensure the continued presence of the Tri-Cities Dust Devils team.
