CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - Both of the West Texas A&M soccer teams were in action over the weekend.

WT men’s team picks up second shutout win of the year

The Buffs picked up the 4-0 victory over Colorado Christian University Saturday.

Ben Scotford got the scoring action started with a penalty kick to put the Buffs up 1-0 early. D’Jonte Davis scored just a little more than five minutes later, assisted by Desire Essis in the 14th minute.

Dominic Murphy picked up his first goal of the season for the Buffs just after halftime, assisted by Davis. Davis would go on to score on another penalty kick, sealing the shutout victory.

The Buffs are now 2-2 on the year, snapping the two-game losing streak after the victory.

WT will be back on the road this week to face Simon Fraser on Thursday at 7:30
