SILVER CITY, New Mexico (KFDA) - Eastern New Mexico volleyball defeated the Western New Mexico Mustangs in four sets on Saturday.
After a sweep over Sul Ross State the day before, the Greyhounds picked up season wins No. 1 & No. 2 to go undefeated in the LSC Challenge.
It was a dominant game offensively for Greyhounds’ Sophia Valdez, finishing with a match-high 23 kills to go along with a team-high three blocks.
On the passing side, Violeta Flores (22) and Cataline Gutierrez (13) were the only Eastern players to finish in double-digits.
However, the defensive side was a little more spread out. Three different Greyhounds finished with 11+ digs: Addison Bartlett (17), Imahni Brown (13) and Violeta Flores (11).
ENMU moves to 2-8 this season.
They are back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 26
