TALLADEGA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The International Motorsports Hall of Fame (IMHOF) has fired a contract employee accused of taking around $200,000 from the museum and is changing it’s financial policies.
The IMHOF’s Executive Director, Adam Stocks, tells WBRC that the executive board fired the part-time employee as soon as the alleged theft was discovered in the midst of a state audit.
“I’m currently in the process of evaluating, streamlining and overhauling the finances of the IMHOF and implementing new policies and procedures to ensure accountability and checks and balances,” Stocks said.
