East Perth captain Hamish Brayshaw has declared the Royals have what it takes to reach a third grand final in a row and finally taste premiership success after a heartbreaking loss to South Fremantle on Sunday.

The Royals were condemned to back-to-back grand final losses by two points at Optus Stadium in a dramatic conclusion to the 2025 decider.

It’s the second time in 15 years East Perth have been beaten in two grand finals in a row. No WAFL club has ever lost two and then won the next.

However, Brayshaw said the club had everything they needed to claim their first flag since the three-peat in 2002.

“I feel like we have every piece for our puzzle to win a grand final,” Brayshaw told The West Australian.
