High pressure slides offshore Tuesday into Wednesday with a wind shift more easterly to southeasterly leading to a warming trend—highs jump into the upper 80s to near 90 inland Wednesday (around 80 at the beaches). Aside from a quick sea-breeze shower, most stay rain-free midweek.

Late week, our next weather-maker arrives. A sluggish upper trough over the nation’s midsection edges east, spreading moisture and lift back into ENC.
