MILAN/PARIS (Reuters) -Gucci on Monday revealed the first styles by its new designer Demna on Instagram, the day before Milan Fashion Week kicks off with a scheduled presentation by the Kering-owned label.
The debut at Gucci of the former Balenciaga designer is the most highly anticipated event of the Milan shows, coming as the industry undergoes a design reboot aimed at reviving sales.
The dozens of images posted on Monday show women’s and menswear looks, each displayed on a single model, often posing with hands on hips. Outfits range from sweeping gowns to sharp suits with long hems, pooling slightly at the feet. There are also bulky shoulders and low-waist trousers and a range of handbags.
