LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Days after Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show was removed off the air indefinitely , Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is sharing his thoughts.

Paul appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press with Kristin Welkert to discuss free speech and government overreach.

He slammed Federal Communications Chair Brendan Carr for chiming in on the controversy, calling his comments “inappropriate.”

“Brendan Carr’s got no business weighing in on this,” Paul said. “People also have to realize that despicable comments – you have the right to say them, but you don’t have a right to employment.
