A gas station clerk suffered multiple stab wounds in a robbery at a far West Side gas station, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday in the 8600 block of U.S. Highway 90.
The alleged suspect walked into the gas station and pointed a knife at the register.
After the clerk did not open it, the man jumped over the counter. The clerk was stabbed in the back several times after trying to avoid the man, police said.
Officers said the man fled on foot with several random items. It was unclear whether money was taken from the register.
The clerk was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
This is a developing story. KSAT will update this as we learn more.
