A man was found shot in the head by a friend inside a West Side home early Monday, according to San Antonio police.

The incident happened around 4:05 a.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Chihuahua Street near South Navidad Street.

A woman who stayed at the house off and on called police after finding her friend bleeding inside the home.

Officers arrived and found the man had been shot in the head.

It is not clear if the victim died at the home or at an area hospital.

Details about what prompted the shooting are unclear.

Homicide investigators had detained two people who lived on the property for questioning, police said. Their involvement is unknown.
