Mizzou football rallied from behind twice in the second half and closed with 11 unanswered points to beat South Carolina 29-20 on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium. The win allowed the 23rd-ranked Tigers to reclaim the Mayor’s Cup in front of their 16th straight sellout crowd. Missouri improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC, while South Carolina fell to 2-2 and 0-2 in conference play.
The Tigers’ ground game powered the comeback, with Ahmad Hardy rushing for 138 yards and a score, Jamal Roberts adding 76 yards and the go-ahead touchdown, and quarterback Beau Pribula contributing 72 yards on the ground along with a passing touchdown. Missouri finished with 285 rushing yards, marking the first time since 2011 the Tigers had three players with at least 70 yards rushing in the same game.
