Fremantle teen sensation Murphy Reid has joined an exclusive club at the Dockers after being named the NAB Rising Star for 2025.

Reid becomes the fourth player from the Harbour club to claim the illustrious Ron Evans Medal, joining Paul Hasleby (2000), Rhys Palmer (2008) and Caleb Serong (2020).

Reid had a superb debut season at AFL level, creating history by becoming the first player to kick 25 or more goals while also providing 25 or more score assists in their first year.

The youngster’s 38 score assists was second only to Hawthorn great Cyril Rioli for a first-year player since the stat was first registered in 2003.

Reid was also ranked first among the AFL’s general forwards for finding a mark from a kick inside 50, connecting with a teammate with 39.1 per cent of his attempts.
