CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - For more than 40 years, Abbe Center for Community Mental Health has served Cedar Rapids -- Monday, the clinic is opening at a new location to carry that legacy forward.

The new clinic is at 615 Fifth Street SE, the building has more than 30,000 square feet for staff to work. With a team of about 80 people, it’s been a challenge before to make the most of the old clinic.

“We’ve been pretty creative over the last several years trying to make that space work while we look for something else,” Megan Vranish, executive director at Abbe, said.

Ultimately, the team hopes to use the new location to reach as many people as possible.
