The AFL world has erupted over Brownlow Medal fast starter Matt Rowell’s votes .

After 10 games, Rowell was on 18 votes, and clear leader, racking up three votes at record pace.

But fans lost it over some of the games where he was awarded three.

Against Adelaide in Round 4 he had 17 disposals, while Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson starred with 31 touches.

The Suns won by one point, but Rowell’s teammates Daniel Rioli, Sam Flanders and Noah Anderson were all more prolific than Rowell.

Against Sydney in Round 7 Rowell had 10 clangers and six ‘frees against’ to go with his 16 touches and a goal ... in that game he also was awarded the three votes despite his teammate John Noble dominating with 30 touches.
