Crews are cleaning up the highway on Interstate 95 North in Pawtucket after a tractor-trailer that was reportedly carrying beer crashed early on the morning of Monday, Sept. 22.
The state Department of Transportation indicated in a social media post at about 2:30 a.m. that the right-center lane, right lane and right shoulder were blocked near Exits 42A-42B.
At of about 7:45 a.m., state traffic cameras showed crews were still on the scene and two lanes were open.
At a curve, the truck apparently collided with a support for the overpass on the right side of the highway.
WPRI-TV reported that the trailer was carrying beer, "which spilled all over the highway."
This is a developing story and will be updated.
