PROVIDENCE – A federal judge is allowing construction of Revolution Wind to resume.Judge Royce Lamberth, in federal district court in the District of Columbia on Monday, Sept. 22, granted a request from the developers of the 65-turbine ocean wind farm to start work again on the project that was 80% complete when the Trump administration ordered all offshore work to be halted last month.
States and Revolution Wind developer each sued Trump administration
Danish offshore wind company Ørsted and Skyborn Renewables, the developers of the 704-megawatt project that has contracts in place to supply power to Rhode Island and Connecticut, sued the Trump administration over the Revolution Wind work stoppage on Sept. 4.
The states of Rhode Island and Connecticut filed a separate lawsuit in
