One week removed from the Detroit Lions earning a dominant win over Ben Johnson’s Chicago Bears , the former Lions offensive coordinator earned his first victory as a head coach.
Quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys in a 31-14 win for the Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
The Bears did most of their damage in the first half, putting up 24 points on the Dallas defense and showcasing some of the offensive flair that Johnson became known for as a play caller with the Lions.
Johnson went into his famous bag of tricks in the first quarter, calling up a flea flicker that allowed Williams to find Luther Burden III for a 65-yard touchdown.
The win moves the Bears to 1-2 on the season after losing their first two games to NFC North foes
