Michigan State will head back on the road next week for a much earlier kickoff.

The Spartans play at Nebraska on Oct. 4 and that game will start at 4 p.m. ET (3 p.m. CT) and be broadcast on FS1, the Big Ten announced on Monday.

Michigan State (3-1, 0-1) is coming off a 45-31 loss at USC last week in a game that didn’t begin until after 8 p.m. in Los Angeles and ended at 2:55 a.m. Eastern. The Spartans have a bye this week before going to Lincoln.

Nebraska lost 30-27 at home against Michigan last week and also has a bye before hosting Michigan State.

The Cornhuskers own a 9-4 advantage in the all-time series against the Spartans, who won the last two matchups by a combined six points. Michigan State is 1-6 at Memorial Stadium and lost 9-6 in its last visit there on a snowy day in 2018.
