Evacuation issued for Southern University's Fisher Hall

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Fisher Hall on Southern University's Baton Rouge campus was evacuated Monday morning, according to a notice.

The Southern University System notice told all students, faculty, staff and visitors to avoid the area until further notice.

"The safety of our campus community remains our top priority. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.. Any course(s) held in John W. Fisher Hall will meet in a synchronous and virtual modality until further notice," the university system said.
