A driver and his passenger have both been jailed for life after mowing down two young men who were riding home from the pub.
Alex Rose, 30, and Charles Pardoe, 25, were both found guilty of murder after Rose drove his black pickup truck the wrong way down a motorway slip road and ploughed into the back of an e-bike being rode by the friends.
Rose smashed into William Birchard and Darren George as the pair rode home on one electric bike, in the early hours of July 22, last year, jurors at Guildford Crown Court were told. They were hit on the M3/A316 slip road in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey.
Today, Rose was sentenced to a minimum of 32 years, 308 days behind bars and Pardoe was told he will serve a minimum of 28 years and 178 days.
Prosecutors said Mr Birchard, 21, and Mr George, 22, had b
