Governor Kathy Hochul announced last week that the New York State Board for Historic Preservation recommended adding 20 properties and districts to the State and National Registers of Historic Places.
The nominations include an eighteenth-century African burial ground in Kingston, a barn that was a creative workspace for influential historic preservationists in Newfield, an affordable housing complex developed by legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson in Brooklyn, and the McKinley Parkway Historic District in Buffalo.
