The personal memorabilia collection of Hall of Fame baseball player Willie Mays will be on display this week near the San Francisco Giants' home ballpark ahead of an auction to raise proceeds for charity.

Mays, who died in May 2024 at the age of 93, is considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time. He played 23 Major League Baseball seasons, compiling more than 3,000 hits, slugging 660 home runs, stealing 339 bases and receiving 12 Gold Glove awards.

All but the final two seasons of his career were spent with the Giants.

Per Mays's wishes after his death, all proceeds of the auction of memorabilia from his storied career will go to the Say Hey! Foundation, which Mays founded in 2000 to fund education, training and health services for underprivileged youth.
