While Sunday night’s debate at Rider University was the first time New Jersey's 2025 gubernatorial hopefuls squared off this campaign season, it won’t be the last.

Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill and Republican former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli will go head to head again on at 7 p.m. Oct. 8 at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.

Their running mates will also debate once during this election cycle. Ciattarelli’s lieutenant governor pick, Morris County Sherriff Jim Gannon, and Sherrill’s selectoin, Centenary University President Dale Caldwell, will match up on at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30 at Kean University.
