It's Week 6 of the Western North Carolina high school football season . We've crossed over the halfway mark in the season and nearly every team is into conference play.

The Mountain 8 Conference continues to lead the power rankings, with the top three all hailing from the conference. A fourth, Franklin, is in the rankings and moved up after an impressive loss.
