Three people in Yakima are being treated for Shiga Toxin-producing E. coli in connection to a local store that's been voluntarily shut down.
ALL THREE PEOPLE ATE OR PURCHASED FOOD
Yakima Health District officials say the three cases have sickened the three people who all reported eating meat, produce, and/or prepared foods from Mercado Los Amigos, located at 1409 Fruitvale Blvd.
THE STORE OWNER TEMPORARILY CLOSED THE STORE
A press release from the health district says as a precaution the store closed on September 18 and the owners are now working closely with the Yakima Health District to address the risk and to make sure future operations are as safe as possible.
