BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — A Bath man was arrested after police said they found a gun that belonged to him illegally during a traffic stop on Friday night.

Noel R. Campbell, 42, of Bath, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 19, on the charge of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony, as stated in a release from the Village of Bath Police Department.

Campbell’s charges follow a traffic stop on Kingsley Street in Bath on Friday, around 8:39 p.m., after an officer saw a vehicle break multiple New York State vehicle and traffic law violations, the release said. A gun was seen in plain sight while the officer was performing the traffic stop, the release explained.
