A vehicle fire on Interstate 24 eastbound Monday afternoon added to local traffic headaches after a string of crashes closed Interstate 75 earlier in the day.

The fire, at milemarker 182.6 is just east of the Seminole Drive overpass.

Two of the eastbound lanes are closed as first responders work to extinguish the fire.

Drivers should expect delays and seek an alternate route if possible.
