The University of Central Florida is mourning the passing of one of its coaches. The school relayed the devastating news on Monday, revealing that offensive line coach Shawn Clark died suddenly after experiencing a medical emergency on Sunday evening.
Clark had been rushed to hospital on Tuesday but was understood to have been in stable condition before suddenly passing away on Sunday.
He was 50.
His death follows that of two football coaches in recent times, one of whom met his end in a fatal accident, while the other was shot to death.
His wife, a former Eastern Kentucky softball player who is in the school’s Hall of Fame, was at his side when he passed.
