In the summer months we just had patchy thunderstorms, with many parts of Michigan missing the rain. Now it appears a full-fledged storm system will track just south of Michigan, but bring its northern edge of rain into our state.
Here’s the radar forecast from early Wednesday to late Thursday. This is the time we are looking for the meaningful rain. I do want to mention this is probably not enough rain to wipe out the dryness entirely, but it certainly will help some with the dryness.
The rain system is expected to cause intermittent rain from Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon. It won’t be continuous rain, but rather a couple hours of wet weather every six hours from Wednesday into Thursday.
