Penn State football coach James Franklin preaches to his players and his staff to treat each game and each opponent the same no matter what.

But Franklin admitted during his weekly press conference Monday that Saturday night’s Big Ten showdown against defending conference champ Oregon carries more weight than most games.

“We want to make it clearly obvious to everyone what is the most challenging and difficult environment to play in all of sports, let alone college football,” Franklin said. “I’m challenging everybody. We need to be on our feet screaming a collective battle cry in the stadium.

“We’re gonna need everybody’s help.”
