List of recovered pet collars from Lake Lure's Rainbow Bridge

LAKE LURE, N.C. — After nearly 140 collars that once adorned the Lake Lure Rainbow Bridge were recovered from Hurricane Helene's debris, many people are asking if the pet collar they placed on the tribute bridge belonged to their beloved pet.

Lake Lure Flowering Bridge volunteer Amy Wald cataloged each of the 135 collars. She took photos of the collars and wrote descriptions of each. Initially, she believed 139 collars were found but determined the accurate number is 135 when she cataloged the items.
