ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police are searching for a suspect after a 53-year-old woman was found Monday morning with multiple fatal stab wounds, officials say.
According to police, officers were called at about 9 a.m. to a home in the 1000 block of Shortleaf Pine Drive about a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival, police found the victim in the backyard unresponsive and bleeding with several apparent stab wounds. She was then taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Based on preliminary investigation, officials say detectives don't believe this was a random attack and that the victim likely knew her killer.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release the name of the victim.
