UPDATE: Two lanes are now open on I-24 east following a vehicle fire on Monday.

TDOT reports that the right lane along with the left and right shoulders remain blocked on I-24 east just before the Seminole Drive overpass.

The left two lanes of I-24 are now open in the area.

We're working to learn details about the vehicle fire.

PREVIOUS STORY: A vehicle fire on Interstate 24 eastbound Monday afternoon added to local traffic headaches after a string of crashes closed Interstate 75 earlier in the day.

The fire, at mile marker 182.6 is just east of the Seminole Drive overpass.
