FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — The American Red Cross is reminding residents that preparation efforts should not wait until a storm arrives.
The organization paired with the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection to send the message on Monday.
According to the American Red Cross, Connecticut residents should start coming up with a plan in case of an emergency as hurricane season ramps up.
The organizations suggested creating emergency kits: one in case you need to stay at home for long periods of time, and another that you can be ready to leave with.
