OBERLIN, La. (KPLC) - An Oberlin man is facing charges after officials say he set several fires in Allen Parish.

On Sept. 15, Bradley Montou, 67, was arrested on ten counts of simple arson.

The day of Montou’s arrest, fire crews responded to 10 fires along La. 26 and in wooded areas west of Oberlin, according to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Three were burning along La. 26, and seven were in wooded areas near the highway.

LDAF said witnesses saw a white man, later identified as Montou, walking along the road where small fires had been set. Montou was later seen entering a wooded area and setting more fires.

Montou was arrested and booked into the Allen Parish Jail. He’s being held on a $75,000 bond.
