MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- If it seems like you're being inundated with spam calls and texts these days, you're not alone.

There are the text messages about supposed unpaid traffic tickets, those encouraging us to apply for what appears to be a high-paying job, or most recently, a high-dollar loan you never applied for.

“It’s the loan ones, constantly, you’re approved for $40,000, $45,000 every day, probably about twice a day,” Sara Allison told WREG.

Mattie Richmond said, “Daily, I get them daily. From those that want to sell medication to those that want to sell insurance.”

The unwanted spam calls and texts coming from crooks are not only annoying, but can be downright aggressive.
