SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Four new measles cases have been reported in Utah, bringing the statewide total to 36.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced that four more individuals have been diagnosed with Measles. These cases have all been identified in Southwest Utah and brings that health department to a total of 25 cases.
Throughout the state, there is a total of 36 cases. Besides the cases in Southwest Utah, an additional seven cases have been found in Utah County, three cases have been found in Southeast Utah, and the Bear River Health Department saw their first case of measles over the weekend.
Previously, over 2000 people were exposed to measles at a high school cycling event.
