Jayson Tatum will likely miss all of, if not most of the 2025-26 season as he rehabs a torn Achilles , but there’s one Western Conference assistant who believes the Celtics star hasn’t hit his peak just yet.

In an anonymous NBA offseason survey , ESPN’s Tim Bontemps asked who the best player will be in 2030. While San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama and Los Angeles Lakers’ Luka Doncic garnered votes, Tatum also received one.

“There’s no one that has that shot profile,” a Western Conference assistant told ESPN of Tatum . “He’s what everyone wishes they have: A 6-foot-10 guy who shoots 3s, gets to the rim and gets fouled.”
