Seven Midlands women to be honored at annual Girl Scouts ‘Women of Distinction’ event set for Columbia Thursday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Seven Midlands women will be honored during the Girl Scouts of South Carolina’s annual Women of Distinction event on Thursday night, the organization says.

They will be honored for their “courage, confidence, and character,” according to a release.

“The uplifting evening is a celebration of those who light the way for others through their professional accomplishments, community impact, and unwavering commitment to service,” the organization says.

Held each year in Columbia, the Women of Distinction Event brings together community leaders, businesses, and changemakers to support local Girl Scouts.

The celebration is slated to take place at the Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center over on 1107 Williams Street in Columbia. It will be at 5:30 p.m.
