COLLGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - For the next four years, Texas, Missouri and LSU will be stalwarts on the Texas A&M football schedule, Aggie head coach Mike Elko confirmed Monday.

On3.com initially reported A&M’s three annual opponents , a system created to accommodate a nine-game Southeastern Conference slate.

“It’s good, obviously, that we’re playing the in-state rivalry,” Elko said. “Always good to play LSU. I guess, Missouri — I’m not sure how that fit in, but, you know, it is what it is. However they did that, it’ll be fine."

The SEC announced a move to a nine-game conference slate in late August, beginning with the 2026 season, which will feature three annual opponents aimed at keeping traditional rivalries on the schedule. The remaining six games will rotate through conference
