A 22-year-old man was arrested after threatening another drive with a gun during what Mesa Police said was a road rage incident.

Brian Lopez was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited possessor following the Sunday incident, according to a release from Mesa Police.

Police were called to an area near Stapley Road and U.S. 60 just before 8 p.m. Sept. 21 where the victim in the case said a man pointed a firearm equipped with a green laser at him. That occurred after the victim told police a white sedan, allegedly with Lopez inside, cut him off while exiting U.S. 60 at Stapley, according to the release.
