BLOOMINGTON ( 25News Now ) - Bloomington police have arrested a suspect who is thought to be responsible for a shooting that occurred Saturday night in the northeast part of the city.

Lorenzo Aken, 45, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, and two counts of reckless discharge of a firearm.

On Saturday, Sept. 20, at around 10:40 p.m., police responded to East Jefferson Street after several people reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officers found several shell casings outside a home on the street. No one reported injuries or property damage.

Police saw someone walking in the area who matched the suspect description provided by witnesses and arrested Aken.
