WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- Deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on September 21, after they said they saw a stolen vehicle in Marion going south of Russell Street.

The sheriff's office said their deputies stopped the vehicle at a gas station parking lot and took the driver, identified as 36-year-old Steven Brown, into custody.

Brown was then taken to the Williamson County Jail. The sheriff's office cited Brown with possession of a stolen vehicle, which is a class 4 felony. A passenger in the vehicle was briefly detained but later released.
