FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) – The Moncks Corner man accused of an armed carjacking and shooting at police on Folly Beach was denied bond Monday on some of his charges.
Justin Kyle Mack Wright, 32, was denied bond for the charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and carjacking. On his remaining charges, he received a $183,726 bond, although he is to remain in jail.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 6, 2026, according to court records.
It all started around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, when the Folly Beach Police Department was alerted to be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle from Ladson, the agency said in a release.
