The Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina has a new Chief Executive Officer.

Alex James brings nearly a decade of experience in public affairs, association leadership, and building industry advocacy. James most recently served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Home Builders Association of South Carolina, where he led state-level advocacy efforts, built strong relationships with key stakeholders, and played a pivotal role in securing legislative victories for the industry. He has a proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders at the local, state, and federal levels and has played an instrumental role in securing key legislative victories on roll back taxes and business license tax reform.
