A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a train in Adelaide’s inner north.

Emergency services were called to Dudley Park train station about 5.10pm after reports that a woman had been hit by a train.

Paramedics said they “worked swiftly” to remove the woman from the train tracks to the platform.

The 61-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

“Adelaide Metro personnel attended the scene to assist patrols,” police said in a statement.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
