MADISON, Wis. — In a special announcement Monday, President Donald Trump touted unproven ties between Tylenol use during pregnancy, vaccines and autism.
“Ac-, aceta-, acetaminophen. Is that okay?” the president said, struggling to pronounce the name for the active ingredient in Tylenol. “…During pregnancy, can be associated with a very increased risk of autism.”
The president did not bring any scientific evidence to his announcement Monday that medical experts call unproven at best.
