Sally Arline Ballard, 78 of Brownwood passed away on September 20, 2025. Her family will host a visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 23rd at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.

Sally was born on September 21, 1946 in Junction, Texas to J. D. and Alta Rae Smith. She married her first husband, Butch Carriger, where they had three children. She went and received her cosmetology license. Sally then married Lee O’Daniel Ballard, and they had 2 children together. In her earlier years, she helped Lee’O run a business, Ballard’s Tree Service, and she also had her own plant nursery. Sally enjoyed reading books, doing word search puzzles, sewi
